Turns One!

DISCLAIMER: Please excuse the poor grammar due to lack of sleep and over caffeination. We have been celebrating the blog’s first birthday and the opening of Campus Coworking Space. 🎉

One year ago (as of January 1st), Missy and I launched this blog with one goal in mind: To highlight all the great things our city has to offer. We wanted to combat the phrase “There’s nothing to do in Jefferson City.” 51 posts later, we’re feeling successful and excited about the stories that are still out there to be told.

Throughout the entire year, we interviewed business owners, non-profit organizations, and really, anyone who would put up with us and our cameras. We met so many great people who are involved in so many different things and we learned how much there IS to do in Jefferson City.

If you’re a looking for a hobby you can join any number of cycling groups or try out a DIY project.

If you’re looking for a place to enjoy a night with your significant other, we have a list of date night ideas.

If you are a teenager looking for some thing to do, we have a guide for you!

Overall this year with the blog has been a blast! Not only have we met so many new people, but Missy and I go to have a great time together exploring the city and taking part in so many events. A few of the highlights were getting together for coffee or drinks with our blog contributors, being a part of events like Oktoberfest, getting to be on the radio and talk about how great Jefferson City is, seeing people around town wearing MO Swag, and having a EPIC #12daysofgiveaways for Christmas!

We can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store! We have already checked one box off our goal list with the opening of a MO Swag retail space at the front of Campus Coworking Space. Here you can find the same great MO Swag that is online, as well as, so many more goods and products made from people right here in Jefferson City.

Lastly, we want to give a special shout out and THANK YOU to all those who have helped us this year! Whether you contributed a blog post, donated for the giveaway, or have let us interview you. We also want to thank our amazing sponsors Capital Region Medical Center, Cultural Arts Commission, Bohl, House, & Samek, Dogwood Social, & Campus Coworking Space.

See you next week!
