The title says it all, right? There are times, in these adult lives of ours, where we really just need to know the answer to one. simple. question. Where can I have a drink and eat on a patio?
Can we get an amen!?
Hannah Kiddoo, contributing writer and Pfenny's Trivia night regular, is back for another useful list for you to bookmark. Each location's name is clickable and it will take you to their Facebook page or Google listing for directions, phone number and hours. BONUS: *Indicates they have live music, although it may not be every day.
We hope you find this list useful and be sure to tag us in your patio photos on Instagram and/or Facebook @jeffcityblog!
West Main offers urban vibes in the heart of one of the city's most beloved neighborhoods. Hoping to switch up your average pizza night? One look at the menu lets you know that you're in for a culinary adventure. Specialty toppings, like taco, offer a twist on classic pies, while gourmet breadsticks (hello, Maui and jalapeño popper!) are always on standby. West Main's outdoor seating includes views of busy Main Street that are perfect for people watching, too.
Despite being one of the newer kids in town, Theo's has quickly made a name for itself. Operated by Alexandro's longtime chef Theodore Mastrogiannis, the restaurant serves up classic Greek fare, including gyros, saganaki, and pizzas. Pop in during the evening to sit under the glow of Theo's neon sign and take in views of the Capitol or a Missouri moon.
Situated on Lorenzo Greene Drive, with creek sounds serving as peaceful background noise, Viet's is one of those Jeff City gems that invites patrons to just chill out with a drink and good people. If the buffet breakfasts and outdoor jams aren't enough to draw you in, lawn games in the beer garden should do the trick. Challenge your buds to jumbo Jenga, Connect Four, and corn hole, or just watch the fun as you kick back.
North of the River
Wine lovers rejoice! Your perfect escape rests just across the bridge at Canterbury Hill. On the patio, patrons can split a house bottle or sample a wine flight while enjoying sweeping views of the city and cozy fire pits. Craving something icy? Wine slushes can help you beat the heat. Canterbury Hill is known as a gathering space for groups, and a recent patio upgrade means more space for fun with friends.
There's just something extra special about sipping on a Missouri brew, chatting with friends and enjoying good eats when you're doing it al fresco. Fortunately, there are plenty of spots around town that welcome you to kick back and relax, patio style. So, what are you waiting for?
