Our latest Love For Local is Erin Bidlick, owner of Studio 573. With her fun, enthusiastic personality, she has given a new meaning to group exercise classes. Long past are the days of simple step aerobics. Studio 573 offers a multitude of classes like Anything Goes, Barre, Dirty Dozen, & so much more. If you want a more one-on-one experience, Erin also offers personal training. No matter what your fitness goals are, Erin and the instructors of Studio 573 are here to help. We are so excited to introduce this hard-working entrepreneur!

Q. How long have you lived in Jefferson City?

A. I grew up here but moved away when I was 18 for college. I worked in Saint Louis, where I met my husband. Military life moved us around for about five years, until we returned to the area in 2014.

Q. What made you want to start this business?

A. Probably a combination of things. First, I noticed a lack of studios in the area, primarily ones that focus on personal training and group training. And lastly, I always knew that I wanted to be an entrepreneur. I just needed a little push.

Q. Oh really? What was that little push that finally happened?

A. I was in my safety job... I was having a conversation one morning with a fellow entrepreneur that I will never forget. Out of no where he says, “Erin, why don’t you just open up your own place?” I caught myself saying  several times .... “Well, it’s hard. I’m too busy...” and within about two weeks I was at the bank's door :)

Q. What’s your favorite aspect of being a local business owner in Jefferson City?

A. Community. I love how we are all on a mission to help one another.

Q. What is one thing you wish people knew about your business?

That we are not a gym. We are a personal training studio that focuses more on our clients. We build relationships and ultimately become family.

Q. Are there any other organizations you volunteer your time to?

Every holiday I try to donate my services to giving back! So far we have worked with HALO, RACS, People Helping Paws, Gary Sinise Foundation, & The Samaritan Center.
