The Jefferson City Cultural Arts Commission is one of those hidden gems within our community. They do so much to promote and fund the arts in Jefferson City and take little credit for their amazing actions. In our latest Shop feature, we’re excited to bring you a first for Jefferson City, a locally based clothing line! As the latest piece in her ever-growing empire, Angela Bax brings us Goddess Fit, and we will never be the same!
HALO is a long-term home for homeless teenage girls in and around our community from the ages of 16-21 years old. These teens do not have a stable, safe place to call home. They move from house to house, couch to couch, night after night until finally, they are no longer welcome at any of these homes. They sleep in shelters, tents, and cars. Some of these girls are pregnant, some are not, some are already mothers with young children, but all of them come to us needing a safe place to live, and lots of love and support. HALO believes every child should have a home.
